Review of WarGames (1983) by Trent J — 15 May 2009
Surprisingly smart, gripping Reagan-era actioner that's funny, exciting, and not afraid to indulge in the awkward travails of teenage courtship. The final act has something of a double-climax, which is odd, but there's also a level of sophisticated ambiguity.
Did they save the world by losing the game? Or did they win the game by not playing (and therefore not save the world at all)? A must-see.
