Review of WarGames (1983) by David G — 26 Jul 2009
What WarGames boils down to is basically a 2-hour lecture on the futility of nuclear war, however it's done in a fun way thanks to the good cast, led by a young Matthew Broderick, and flashy visual style full of colourful computer displays and huge banks of monitors.
Also doubles as an interesting time capsule that shows the blooming home computer industry of the early 80's on the rise and the fears of the time over their possible misuse.
