Review of Wargames (1962) by Miz B W — 05 Nov 2009

Revisiting an oldie but goodie from my past! Yes, the technology is hopelessly dated (and yet David IM's with Joshua who's not even real!) and Russia isn't that scary an enemy anymore (well, for now).

There are lines that come out of NOWHERE ("There's no running in here! You could hurt yourself!" "What kind of asshole grows up in Seattle and doesn't learn to swim?") and sometimes the acting is a little rough.

But the suspense, David's ingenuity, and various plot twists keep the entertainment factor fairly high 25 years later.
