Review of War Room (2015) by Jose P — 15 Sep 2015
A superficial treatment of the problem of evil, prayer, and spiritual warfare that in the end only seems to mock genuine faith and perseverance in the face of suffering. When compared to the classic treatments of the problem of evil in the Bible that we read of in the stories of Job, Joseph, the Psalms of David, the Epistle to the Hebrews, etc.
, this film causes you to wonder if a friendly usher will appear after the film as we leave the theater waiting to ask, "would you like some fries with your religion?" Spiritual fast food for those looking for truth that seems disconnected from the reality of the suffering of the King of Kings and his followers and the power of redemption.
