Review of War Room (2015) by Mary G — 03 Oct 2015
I was very pleasantly surprised by this Christian based movie. I have seen many movies with Christian themes but this one by far has been the best. The acting was superb, the writing was sweet and comical at all the right times.
It is a shame that critics feel it is necessary to give this such a bad rating simply because of its Christian theme (this seems to be a trend). I also find it odd that the audience has given it such a high rating - can't deny here that there is a trend of Christian movie bashing.
This movie presented a wonderful message of compassion, love, forgiveness. It brings home the message that having God in one's life enables us to get through the rough times and to see the flaws in each of us.
The only complaint I have is the scene where the two main characters are getting robbed - I found it clumsy and rather difficult to believe. I'm glad to support such uplifting films and I have to say, I have never seen a Hollywood movie where the audience actually claps at the end but they most certainly did for this wonderful film.
