Review of War on Everyone (2016) by Jeff S — 17 Jul 2017
War on Everyone is a dark comedy from the man behind the The Guard and Calvary, the latter of which was almost perfect and was a superb film. This one is on a par with The Guard regarding style and substance.
It revolves around 2 cops who do their job while trying to line their own pockets. These cops don't care about anyone or anything anymore and this is where most of the laughs come from. The humour is dark and I'm sure some will find it offensive but it suits the style of the film.
Inevitably the cops do find something worth fighting for which leads to a big showdown at the end which is brilliantly executed. It was entertaining enough but probably not one I would go back to.
