When you get right down to it, I just did not find this movie all that funny. I did feel that if it was tweaked a little bit it could work better. It felt like it was trying to be a modern "Dr. Strangelove", but like many movies that have been made recently, it ties everything together too neatly.
For some reason, I think this type of satire works best if the ending isn't so happy- though it can be funny, such as the ending in "Dr. Strangelove", and this movie's ending isn't. I think it would have been better in this film's case to stay consistantly dry and knock it off with all the touchy feely stuff.
