Review of War, Inc. (2008) by Paul T — 22 Aug 2009
I knew nothing of this film before watching it... and I have to say that I was more than pleasantly surprised. It's hard to put across political satire in the current climate because politics is its own satire anyway, but War Inc, while it cops out a little in the end, and at times loses its way, is one of the funniest, most spot-on pieces of political satire I've seen for a while.
It is also a film which has to be experienced rather than read about, and I'm sure it's a film that will stand up to repeated viewings. Apart from anything else, this film has single-handedly made me a fan of Hilary Duff! The scopion down the pants scene is priceless, as are to many moments of dialogue to mention.
Deserves an audience.
