Review of War, Inc. (2008) by Mike B — 04 Mar 2013
The best way to describe "War, Inc." is probably as a mixed bag of political and industrial satire. The jokes that work are very funny and the ones that don't can be seen from a mile away.
To an audience that's hungry for this kind of material, it's not hard to recommend; it's got good performances from Hilary Duff, John Cusack and Marisa Tomei and when it works it's right on the mark.
However, some of the plot elements aren't very polished and the ending really comes out of nowhere so keep an open mind and you'll have a good time, but it's by no means as tough and biting a piece of satire as it should have been.
