Review of War Horse (2011) by Max M — 20 Dec 2012
Won in an auction by a drunken English farmer, trained by a young English fellow, sold to an English officer, taken by the Germans, stolen by a pair of deserters, found by a French girl, taken by French soldiers or English?.
..Where was I? Oh yeah, then set free, saved by the cooperation of an Englishman and a German, won by the English soldier in a coin toss, reunited with his trainer and owner, forced into auction and bought by the French girl's grand-pere, then given back to his trainer and owner, this War Horse protagonist connects all of the individual stories of this emotional film beyond expectations.
Leave it up to Spielberg to make a decent horse movie that does have its flaws in my opinion, but who am I to judge Mr. Spielberg?
