Review of The Message (1976) by Admiral D — 12 Nov 2007
A really weird piece of propaganda. not wholly accurate to the life of The Prophet Mohammad, but insightful if you have no idea about the Islamic religion and its view of its 'founder'.
On the other hand, not being able to portray Mohammad in any way proves for some interesting cinematography. either he is not include in shot, or we see from his perspective (which you think would be more blasphemous still). and rather than talking strangely sinister music is played whilst the cast hear an otherwise silent voice. over all it makes him seem more intimidating and scary, than the peaceful and serene personality that is normally alluded to.
