This is indeed the epic finally that this franchise earned, making it in my mind, a perfect film trilogy. This is the best of the franchise and what makes it so special is the anti-blockbuster feel. This is 100% slow burn a drama that is purely character given.
The special efforts are jaw dropping, the cinematography gorgeous, the music elevates each scene, and Andy Serkis once again delivers on one of the best performances of the entire year.
