War for the Planet of the Apes is a rare film. A film that is set up to be filled with action and visual effects, ETC. This new installment in the critically acclaimed Planet of the Apes prequel trilogy finishes off with an emotional, personal, visually-appealing, and masterful installment that is a masterpiece.
With brilliant acting from Serkis, excellent visuals, and masterful filmaking, War for the Planet of the Apes is easily the best film of the year, and in the franchise as a whole, and it deserves a Best Picture nod come Oscar season.
