Review of Wall Street: Money Never Sleeps (2010) by Hali L — 06 Apr 2012
WOW !!! I wasn't really interested in seeing "WALL STREET TOO" but thats what I got. While the film was skillfully made, as a big fan of the first film, I actually was hoping to see a continuation of the characters, most notably, Gordon Gekko.
All we get instead is the modern history of the investment banking meltdown and a sappy, BORING melodrama about a young Wall Street Shark (LeBeouf) and his whiny and pouting Ultra-Liberal girlfriend who just happens to be the daughter of Gekko.
In the end it is just simply a film I didn't care to see. Preachy to the hilt about 'Alternative Energy" - AKA Science Fiction in Wall Street??, The evil GREED of how American Capitalism is about to "End of the world" and such.
Give me a vomit bag. I wanted to see the "Color of Money" story for Gekko who is the lone reason this original film is considered such a classic. People remember Gekko, we want Gekko.. SHIA LEBEOUF.
. NO !!!! Once again LeBeouf has wiggled his way in to demolish a sequel to a classic. Whose worse MUTT JONES or whoever the hell his name is in WS: Money Never Sleeps? STAY AWAY from my classic film sequels SHIA!! You are a sickness.
Go back to your Robots where you can not harm anything of value. I'm planning on filing this one under "Never Happened". BLUE HORSESHOE does NOT Love Wall Street Too: Money Never Sleeps.
