Review of Wall Street: Money Never Sleeps (2010) by Seth Y — 09 Jan 2013
The follow up to 1987's "Wall Street" is enjoyable, but ultimately falls a bit flat. 8 years after being released from prison, Gordon Gekko is out promoting his new book when he is approached by a young investment banker Jacob Moore (Shia LaBeouf) who is dating his estranged daughter.
Moore teams up with Gekko to seek advice in avenging his mentor's death. There are some good sequences and it's fun to see Michael Douglas reprising his role after so many years, but this is simply an unnecessary sequel that didn't need to be made.
