Review of Walking and Talking (1996) by P B — 17 Apr 2012
There comes a point, especially when you hit your 30s where friendships start to change when life pulls you into different directions, making you reprioritize certain things. This is essentially what happens with Laura and Amelia, childhood friends who grew up together, but are in totally different stages of life.
Laura is in a stable relationship, becomes engaged, and is ready to embark on her career as a therapist, while Amelia is single, works her job at a newspaper, and is still trying to figure out how to be a grownup.
It's Amelia who feels left out from all the major happenings of Laura's life and starts to worry about how all this change will effect the friendship.
