Review of Walkabout (1971) by Brandon M — 24 Feb 2012
Critics love this. I thought it was one of the worst films I've ever not seen. "Wait, not seen?" you might ask. That's because I stopped halfway through, fast forwarded and saw more than I ever needed to see.
It's not about "crushed spirits of city dwellers" or a "unique survival film". It's a 100 minute experiment on useless camera shots, near-hideous imagery and a story so dull and drawn out that I'd rather watch grass do nothing.
Complete garbage.
