Phoenix channels Cash throughout the whole film. His portrayal of the troubled sorrow-man leaves you intrigued with his strength to carry out a true love story. Witherspoon shines as June Carter. Strong, responsible, and no matter how complicated Cash became, she sticks by him with friendship and love.
Phoenix & Witherspoon even offer their voices to the lyrics of Cash & Carter and without a doubt, sang brilliantly. This is absolutely one of my favorite movies of all time!
