Review of Walk Hard: The Dewey Cox Story (2007) by Jason H — 05 Sep 2011
Insanely riduculous, and hillarious. Plus, the music's not half bad at all.
I haven't seen many music documentary movies, but I'm sure this beats them all. Of course, it's fictional, but that's the fun of it.
This movie takes a stab at all the biggest musicians of the last 100 years, and it's hillarious.
The humour is a mixture of childish comedy, spoof jokes and just pure witty lines.
The story goes all over the place, and is a lot of fun to watch.
There's some really funny characters, and the acting is solid all round.
The music itself, although not thourghoughly original, is good, and quite catchy. (I took it upon myself to learn Walk Hard on guitar).
This movie is a joy for anyone who's open to silly humour, and up for a laugh.
