Review of Wal-Mart: The High Cost of Low Price (2005) by D G — 07 Dec 2009
I wasnt completely in the dark about Wal-Mart's practices but I had no idea the depth of them. It is ridiculous to give WM a tax break or a subsidy for anything. They are a billion dollar corporation...they can afford to build without having tax payers foot the bill.
I was the most disgusted wth the Walton family. You would think as much money they have they would be more philanthropic but theyre not. You would think they would at least pay their employee's a living wage but they dont. You would think they would give them decent healthcare but they dont. Instead men and women who work full time at WM(WM considers 28 hours a week full time. Most company's consider 40 hours a week full time)are on food stamps, medicaid and medicare. WM actually ENCOURAGES their employees to go on government assistance!
I hope as many people as possible watch this and stop the Walton family from opening other WM's.
