Review of Waking Life (2001) by Rink S — 20 Jun 2008
I liked the "moving painting" look of the film, but I found the subject matter to be somewhat of a mixed bag; some of it was vaguely interesting, and some of it was painfully boring. I'm a big fan of great dialogue, which this film does have.
.. in parts... but after a while it all just started to sound like "blah, blah, blah." If you're into the subject matter that this film tackles, then you'll probably really enjoy this film; if not, then just try your best to appreciate the film's visual imagery.
.. or just don't watch it.
