Review of Waiting for "Superman" (2010) by Brendan M — 18 Feb 2011
Good film that shows how the unions have been putting their own interests ahead of the kids they claim to be serving.
Funny how this same issue is bankrupting our country in many areas of the government, not just education....self interest driving decisions instead of service. This is one of the reasons that government was not meant to be involved in these issues to begin with, it creates a "governing class" that has interests counter to the governed.
Charter schools are the way to go because unions will never step down, they have no incentive to do so.
As a side note, it's particularly interesting who put this documentary out....a big lib who won the Academy-Award for directing Al Goreâ(TM)s Global Warming nonsense âAn Inconvenient Truth." Maybe this film will help him realize that the same abuses happen throughout most of government, not just with schools.
