Review of Waiting for "Superman" (2010) by Matthew H — 11 Mar 2011
This is an excellent documentary on the poor state of education in the U.S. I think ours is following suit but is a way off from the mess they are in. If you get a chance to see it, you will be sitting there saying, 'Oh, my Gosh', under your breath the whole time.
It had me in tears at the horrible stress the kids and parents were put through in their search for a decent school with decent teachers. An outrage in a country that has enough money to go to war constantly.
I've seen four of these type of documentaries in the passed year about the financial crisis, the outrageous mining of gas, the food industry and it all seems to come back to bad goverment and insidiously greedy power mongers.
All I can say is, don't count on the Americans to save the world when the Aliens invade unless there is money or power in it.
