Review of Waiting (1991) by Schmoog L — 30 Sep 2012
A lot of people seem to be divided when it comes to this movie. It probably mostly has to do with the slightly immature - and sometimes gross-out - humor, and the lack of a real plot. But I spent a long time in customer service - and even did a little short order kitchen work - and have always thought Waiting did a good job of capturing the spirit of the bonds and friendships that form and help us survive these spirit-crushing work environments.
The ensemble is well-cast and there is a great energy from a wide range of performers, young and old. It's not always laugh-out-loud hillarious, but it's genuine with comedic moments that you appreciate.
