Review of Locke (2014) by Schmoog L — 19 Dec 2014
What a beautiful and poignant film. Ultimately, it's about being responsible for your actions, choosing a path and staying on it no matter what, and accepting that not everything will turn out the way you them to.
Tom Hardy does a brilliant one-man show, rendering his character flawlessly from the expressions on his face to the timbre of his voice. The entire thing was so human, so fragile, that I couldn't help but be moved by it all.
I've recently watched two other films that have been deemed two of "the best movies of 2014" but so far this is the only one that I think 100% deserves to be part of that list. I highly recommend it.
