Review of Wait Until Dark (1967) by Allan C — 26 Dec 2012
Solid little thriller about blind woman, Hepburn, being terrorized by Alan Arkin, Richard Crenna and Jack Weston, who are trying to find a doll in Hepburn's apartment, which unbeknownst to her contains narcotics.
The three assume different false identities in order to gain entrance to the apartment, which leads to a very tense climax. Based on a play, it does suffer from feeling excessively stagey, but the performances by all involved, especially Arkin, keep the film riveting.
