Review of Wait Until Dark (1967) by Pamela D — 03 May 2011
Not a masterpiece like Sleuth, but very much fun to watch. The ending is fairly vigorous and climactic, so much so that a Broadway actor friend of mine (who was playing Harry Roat) performing the play off-Broadway, was severely injured during the climax on opening night.
He had to perform with a cane and an injured leg for the remainder of the play's two week summer stock run. I was apprenticing, and so I was privileged to see the opening night performance (and all the rest, but the first was obviously the best!).
