Review of Wah-Wah (2005) by God? — 09 Jun 2007
It's one thing to try and shamelessly manipulate ones emotions, but it's another to fail at that.
No emotional connections are made between the viewer and the character, so until the very end one fails to give a shit about anyone. Every little thing is rushed and nothing is ever explored intimately, except for the things that should've been more subtle. To be honest, there's nothing wrong with the acting (it's actually quite great, to be honest), it's just that the director is... well... an incompetent buffoon. Holy hell, this film frustrated me so much because it could've been great... it SHOULD'VE been great. But even the executives over at the Hallmark Channel would laugh at this pretentious garbage if offered the chance to show it.
