Critics complained that 'W.' lacked all the facts - these people should not be film critics. This is a movie in, roughly, three parts: father-and-son Freudian content; Bush's troubled early and college years; and it focuses on the Presidency. What is more important is that it focuses on the man behind the dolled-up doofus we hate. Just like Oliver Stone's portrait of 'Nixon' this is not bias - if anything it piques empathy for the man (not enough for him to be the worst President ever). Oliver Stone's 'W.' is the film that needed to be made about Bush. The scene where the Iraq war is planned is a masterful scene that ranks up there with Stone's best directing.
Josh Brolin was in this? Yes, but it's hard to know it's him because he is George W. Bush every second. Where's his Oscar?
