Review of W. (2008) by Trystan C — 23 Jul 2012
Who knew George Bush was a human being? From all the documentaries and cartoon impersonations, one might think that the president was just some fabrication for the sake of throwing tomatoes. I guess that's what made "W.
" so good. It was so incredibly refreshing to see Bush shown as an endearing human, that it made up for what was essentially just a 2 hour refresher on the history of American politics from the past 8 years.
The performances were all incredible as well (except for Thandie Newton's borderline retarded impersonation of Condaleeza Rice) Josh Brolin should score another oscar nomination for this, and Oliver Stone should score a few points in the credibility column.
