Review of Voyage to the Bottom of the Sea (1961) by Kevin R — 24 Oct 2013
Satisfying romp through the seas. Though the science is abysmal (I'd like to know what Dr. van Allen thought of the premise), this is a well paced B-movie given the full studio treatment. Ignore the lack of modern PC(Cousteau must have cringed at the narwhale scene), seeing Lorre as a sober scientist and Eden's colorized asset twisting with Frankie's horn make this a film worth seeing! Don't forget about the underappreciated Ansara working alongside his then wife, Barbie, too.
Interesting that critics like this film so much more than RT's users.
