Review of Von Ryan's Express (1965) by Richard S — 09 Jan 2008
A decent enough premise, although there are shades of bridge on the river kwai in the opening half an hour, that blossoms into a really rather good war movie. The cast all lend weight to the story, sinatra plays it cool as Col.
Ryan, and the movies climax is both tense and exciting. If you're a fan of war movies, then this is definatley something for you.
