Review of Vive L'Amour (1995) by Boon A — 06 May 2009
Released on the same year Wong Kar Wai gave us his romantic vision of loneliness and urban alienation on the city of Hong Kong in Chungking Express, Tsai Miang Liang was at his best here, delivered a similar themed movie but with everything striped raw resulting this voyeuristic vision of 3 vulnerable souls living in Taipei.
They crossed paths with aching longing to be emotionally connected but they simply do not know how.
