Review of Vive L'Amour (1995) by George B — 11 Jul 2010
So I think I should be qualified as a faithful supporter of Tsai since only 3 out of his films that I didn't go to a theater to see. After nearly 16 years, the digital restoration print which just freshly came out of the oven was still very gripping.
Even with very little dialogue which it's best known for, it demonstrates how to make the audience focus with the interactions. I'm not a fan of Tsai at all, but I'm now absolutely certain that this is his masterpiece.
