Review of Viva Las Vegas (1964) by Ken S — 08 Jan 2004

Man, this was an entertaining movie! Not because it was any good, but just because of the cheesy Elvis factor. The dialogue in this movie is even funnier than Blue Hawaii. The double-entendres are flying left and right here.

And while the ridiculousness of musicals usually makes them irritating to me, this one was just flat out funny. It's so bad, it's good. Plot? What plot? Just kick back and relax and watch as Elvis hits on Ann Margaret in the most ridiculous ways.

..oh, and speaking of ridiculous, Margaret's dancing is almost as funny as the dialogue! Mike Myers must've studied these dance moves for his Austin Powers movies...
