Review of Visitor Q (2001) by Roger C — 21 May 2006
One of Miike's most disturbing and provocative products in recent years is also one of his most humane. More disturbing than the graphic content is his ability to justify and integrate it into a moral story, in this case a documentary style depiction of modern family estrangement.
Not everyone will see it this way. Nercophilia, voyeuristic lactation, incest and male violation are just some of the treasures that await, but if you can sit through this film you'll have a lot to talk and think about.
