Review of Visitor Q (2001) by Anoushka P — 17 Jun 2007
A wonderful exploration of a typical Japanese family. All my Japanese friends tell me that this movie as it echoes many of their own experiences within their family lives, especially the incest, heroin addiction, spontaneous lactation, and, of course, necrophilia.
Truly, anyone with even a vague interest in Japan must view this film (rather some more prurient and disgustingly exploitative efforts like Ozu's Tokyo Story.) A modern masterpiece!
