Review of Visitor Q (2001) by Romit C — 25 Apr 2008
Visitor Q is a profoundly surreal and disturbing filmic experience. As with many of Miike's films, it is not for those who are easily disturbed: anal rape, necrophilia, crazy lactation, sado-masochism, and schatological scenes all make appearances in this film.
That being said, Visitor Q is a brilliant examination of the effects of bullying upon a society which Miike investigates in a disturbing, documentary style of cinema.
