Review of Visioneers (2008) by Chris C — 22 Jul 2009
Twisted and darkly humorous film; difficult to describe other than to say, it is a bit like watching a post-modern re-interpretation of "Brave New World", without the need to ever read the book.
And that's the point of it, maybe - how to tell the same kind of story as "1984" or "BNW" to a TV generation. Part parable, part metaphorical exercise, and absolutely no backwards masking (therefore, not of the devil).
