Review of Visioneers (2008) by Mike C — 28 Jul 2010
1984 and Brave New World meet Napoleon Dynamite. While it could be a unique dystopia, it has many elements of several other stories. This one is not so craftily done, however, and that clumsiness costs some points.
Really, the slowness is hard to watch at times. I suspect there is some brilliant ideas at play, but they're a little too well disguised. I've liked Zach G. for many years, and I always love Judy Greer.
Mia Maestro is a nice, adorable touch. I don't regret watching it but really doubt I could watch it again. And I didn't walk away with much other than Greer looks really hot when destroying a kitchen.
