Review of Visioneers (2008) by Nick T — 27 Sep 2010
Worker-bee George and his wife are estranged, his career meaningless and going nowhere. I'm assuming this is a 9/11 parable: the world lives in fear of citizens literally exploding from stress - but the more everyone searches for an solution, the more pent-up they become.
The pacing requires patience, and it might still be a bit long at 94 minutes. Even though it shares a lot of common ground with "Brazil", it's still a compelling mood piece with lots of nice moments.
