Review of Vision Quest (1985) by Jay S — 24 Oct 2010
This film encapsulates all that's good in 80s films as well as all that's good in sports films. It's cheesy, but it makes you think. It's sweet, but it repulses you at the same time. And there's great performances throughout the film, though I think I'd highlight Daphne Zuniga in her small role as particularly excellent.
Also Ronny Cox was terrific as Louden Swain's father. Solid film.
