I admired the film's unpredictability, but I confess it left me puzzled. It seems to suggest that no good deed goes unpunished, but is that really what am I meant to learn from it? Good will begets unanswered suffering, and malice is blind.
It's a farce that isn't funny, but I'll never forget it.
