Review of Viridiana (1962) by Eduardo A — 30 Mar 2008
One of the masterpieces from Luis Buñuel, a very crude, but at the same time a subtle critic to the hipocrisy of the religious values and how useless are in the real life.
Of course this message is hide in a oniric imagery, sometimes more discret (the final escene) and other more direct (a crown burning in flames and the famous last supper).
One of the few times where Silvia Pinal show herself like a solid actress.
