Review of Videodrome (1983) by Joel S — 23 Dec 2010
Though not a particularly pleasant experience, the film grows like a parasite in your subconscious until you actually begin to appreciate what it has to offer. In particular, James Woods's protagonist is in a perennial state of uncertainty, and it is from his point of view that the audience truly experiences the film.
It is this quality that I find many films lack these days despite their best efforts to replicate it.
