Review of Videodrome (1983) by Tim B — 09 May 2011
Not mainstream fare by any stretch. Interesting meditation on reality, and sex and violence in film and tv. Is it cathartic or does it distort us? Of course being Cronenberg these ideas are found embedded in the grotesque body of the film & covered with a layer of blood & slime.
The videotape nature of the tech gives this sci-fi horror a nice, analogue feel.
