Review of Videodrome (1983) by Snigdh J — 15 Jun 2011
Visceral surrealism. That's the only expression I hv to describe Videodrome. A film about frailty of human perception and how a visual medium influences and distorts it, It's unabashedly repulsive & still creeps into you and messes with your head. And the most striking feature is as it descends into the deeper absurdities, it doesn't even care to distinguish between real & fantasy elements, almost challenging the viewers to work it out themselves.
Bizarre,daring,brilliant!!...
