Review of Videodrome (1983) by Matt M — 11 Jan 2014
A man running an unauthorised cable channel in Toronto starts having violent hallucinations after watching a sadomasochist video. Though the plot becomes convulted and somewhat aimless and the contextualisation a little outdated, Cronenberg's reflection on the affect of images on humans is brought to life very well visually and also feel thematically enigmatically close to the director.
