Im not sure if the movie was edited too much, or too little, but it has that Downton feel of too many characters and therefore too many themes its trying to explore but not enough development between Victoria and Abdul -- the loyalty and devotion the pair had toward each other was unmistakable, but you wonder at the end what was it that drew the two together.

For her it was loneliness and something different -- I wasn't sure what the element it was for Abdul. Not a bad movie, but also could have been better.
