Review of Victoria & Abdul (2017) by Logan M — 26 Jan 2018
I was sorely disappointed. About half-way through I saw that the movie is politically motivated. I got as far as the blubbering Abdul when Queen Victoria passed away and turned it off in disgust. I don't like being lied to or preached at in the form of entertainment especially when it's a subtle agenda of liberal clap trap.
I see plain as day why her ministers and household was on edge with a this man being allowed to be in her presence alone and with the "boxes." She was blind to her grief of missing the companionship she had with Albert and I sense she was trying to recreate that time in her life through the relationship with Abdul.
I knew something was "off" at the beginning with the statement, "Based on a True Story...mostly.".
